It's my passion not only to share my experiences with cerebral palsy, but also the unique point of view that it gives me as a keynote speaker on disability awareness, faith in God’s plan, diversity, anti-bullying, the importance of family and friendships, and the joy of community service. Below you’ll find a sample of testimonials of my previous motivational speaking engagements. I’d to love to hear from you if you’d like to know more!
I have known Hannah her entire life, although I hadn’t worked with her professionally until about the last five years. I taught a graduate class at Northwestern University in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and asked her to speak to my students. Hannah was delightful! She prepared a short talk that was appropriate for her peers that was extremely informative and funny. She encouraged questions and interaction and when the students were somewhat hesitant, she asked them to come up, look at her augmentative communication system and this immediately broke the ice. She spoke to my class each year and the students always said that it was the highlight of the class.

Hannah has been instrumental in motivating people with disabilities and their families, to develop their confidence and most importantly to take action in participating in things they enjoy. Her success is attributed to her demonstrated action to always “walk the talk” and by her infectious “can-do” approach to life. Her lived experiences serve to heighten awareness and provide comfort from someone who has a unique perspective. I couldn’t think of a better person to deliver this message than Hannah. She is truly a treasure.

Some people may assume that due to her disability, Ms. Thompson has difficulty connecting with her audience. To the contrary, she incorporates the Dynavox into her public speaking as a tool to engage her audience and to generate an authentically empathic dialogue. At more than one presentation, audience members have stayed beyond the allotted time to continue their conversation.
